The Gun Update introduced combat equipment to RECLONE's previously stealth-only gameplay. Weapons like the NF-27 Viper and S.T.C. tactical gear provide last-resort defense options, but gunfire creates massive noise that attracts the Hunter instantly. Understanding when ?and when not ?to use weapons is critical for NVX-Orion survival.

S.T.C.
VariesSpecial tactical equipment available in the pre-run shop. Part of the core gear lineup alongside Track-o-Matic and Torch in premium bundles.
Evaluate your token budget before purchasing alongside mandatory survival gear.
NF-27 Viper
VariesPrimary firearm introduced in the Gun Update. Provides a last-resort defense option against entities, though stealth remains the preferred strategy.
Gunfire attracts the Hunter. Only fire when escape is impossible through stealth alone.
NF-27 Viper
The NF-27 Viper is RECLONE's primary firearm available in the pre-run shop. It offers limited defense against entities but generates extreme noise on every shot. Firing the Viper essentially announces your position to the Hunter across multiple corridor sections. Ranked B-tier on our gear tier list, the Viper is situational at best.
Use the NF-27 Viper only when escape is impossible through stealth ?cornered in a dead-end with Hunter approaching and Zoom-Ola on cooldown. Even then, firing should immediately transition into a sprint toward the nearest team member or extraction route.
S.T.C. Tactical Equipment
S.T.C. (Special Tactical Equipment) rounds out the weapons category with utility-focused gear. Available individually or as part of the Blue Neon Bundle, S.T.C. provides tactical options beyond raw firepower. Evaluate S.T.C. after purchasing all S-tier and A-tier survival gear ?it is a luxury purchase for experienced players.
Stealth Over Combat
RECLONE is fundamentally a stealth horror game inspired by Alien: Isolation and Dead Space. Every weapon guide recommendation comes with the same warning: stealth evasion through Track-o-Matic monitoring and crouch-walking outperforms combat in virtually every scenario. Read our Hunter survival guide for the primary strategy.
Ammo crates found during runs supplement pre-run weapon purchases. These in-ship resources generate noise when opened ?weigh the ammo benefit against Hunter attraction risk before looting.
